Diwala is a digital platform that enables secure and efficient issuance and verification of digital credentials. With over 10 000 credentials issued to both people and businesses across East and West Africa, we are only getting started!

Some great new partnerships we are very excited about this year is firstly HRMAU — the Human Resource Manager’s Association of Uganda, which is a professional body that brings together over 700 Private Human Resources, Practitioners and Professionals.

We have expanded our user base in Nigeria with new issuers and partners like Africa Agility and SPE — Society of Petroleum Engineers. Africa Agility has a goal of empowering over 500,000 Africa female youths with tech and agile skills, to create new paths for jobs in the technology industry. SPE is the largest member organisation of oil and gas professionals worldwide.

A couple months ago, some of the Diwala members travelled to Nigeria as we supported SPE in issuing digital credentials to trainees and attendees of their yearly SPE conference. It was truly lovely spending some time together with the team in Nigeria.

Last month we also supported our newest partner ULS — Uganda Law Society, in issuing thousands of digital credentials during their Annual Law Conference 2022 and the Pan African Law Conference 2022. We are very excited to start exploring different credential use-cases with ULS in the coming months.

In 2022 we have had an amazing 67% customer growth

Creating a seamless experience to issue digital credentials

We are continuously updating the Diwala service to cater to your credential and certification needs and over the last year, we found some time to improve and fix a couple things to make your certification experience more seamless. You can read about all our new features in the Diwala 1.0 platform right here.

We are expanding our credential use-cases with exciting partnerships in finance and sustainable energy. We are currently fine-tuning and testing our new Diwala 3.0 web platform with partners to prepare for our launch in 2023.

We have built Diwala 3.0 to ensure we solve some of the key challenges that we have learned from collecting continuous feedback from our customers. Diwala 3.0 is an all web-based platform built by Self Sovereign Identity standards and will be able to issue any kind of digital credential in an easy, fast and secure way. SSI technology enables all credentials to be tamper proof, ensuring increased control and seamless information access for all our users.
