Diwala is a 3 year old remote tech startup. Our vision is a world that enables humans to securely connect and showcase their skills and achievements digitally, and empower more opportunities for everyone. By building an ecosystem of trusted Skill identities, and enabling organisations to safely issue and verify credentials, we challenge the global problem of slow and invalid credentialing.

Utilising blockchain technology, Diwala issued the first set of skill-identities to students and administrators in Uganda in December 2018. These are the first ever digitally verified certificates backed by decentralised identity and blockchain in Africa. We are continuously working to build inclusive and human centered technology.

Your main goal is to drive traction and growth in our company by 

  • Maintaining and driving engagement on our social media platforms; Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, slack, on our blog +++ 
  • Build, launch and track marketing campaigns targeting our stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results.
  • Assist us in building our Sales pipelines, finding and reaching out to leads.
  • Gathering, investigating, and summarising market data and trends to draft reports.
  • Present, Demo and sell the platform and application to new partners and clients.
  • Build the future strategy for growth with our sales and business team.


‍How you will work

We have offices in Oslo, as well as Kampala, Uganda - although we are a fully remote tech company. Most of our meetings happen digitally, and we currently have people working in Norway, Russia, Uganda, Sri Lanka and San Francisco. We welcome applicants from all over the world. However, having our focus on implementing the platform and application in Uganda, Kenya and neighbouring East African Countries, it is preferred that you are placed in this area, in order to understand and speak to our target groups, and cover potential events and work being done on the spot.

  • 3 years + experience in marketing and sales.
  • Qualification in marketing or a related field.
  • Efficient and Self-Driven.
  • Sociable, Curious and Energetic.
  • Highly creative with a great Visual eye.
  • Research Ethics and Critical Thinking.
  • Passionate about design, tech and marketing trends and have a drive for innovation.
  • Understanding of comprehensive product and platform offerings.
  • Understanding of content management, digital media marketing and tracking tools and systems. 
  • Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
